Dinghy design and manufacturing

To check the welding quality and the material at very early stages the “dinghy” 5m x 1.76m in 3mm alloy AA5083 has been welded.   The first tests were very successful. Minor reinforcements had to be made. The boat is early planing (even with 4 persons) powered by just 15HP

Development: first SolidWorks CAD model for WaveScalpel

This design was made on my catamaran PASEO, when sailing in Polynesia. The hulls are quite narrow, with little living space. The deck doesn’t provide much sidewalk area.
