The first cruise brought us to Souda Bay near Chania/Crete. With a fresh southerly we reached easily 9 knots just under mainsail.

WaveScalpel on anchor in Rethymno
After one month further preparations in the marina, we went on anchor for the first test sails. Just under genoa we reached close to 10 knots and returned to our anchorage.

Dinghy design and manufacturing
To check the welding quality and the material at very early stages the “dinghy” 5m x 1.76m in 3mm alloy AA5083 has been welded. The first tests were very successful. Minor reinforcements had to be made. The boat is early planing (even with 4 persons) powered by just 15HP
